Rosser Design Studio was approached to design this home to replace one that had been destroyed in the Gatlinburg fire.
The Owner was interested in protecting the house from fire as well as we could. Such construction details include: cast-in-place concrete basement, cement board siding, type ‘x’ gypsum wall board through out, Class A fire-rated roofing and underlayment, and a gravel buffer around the perimeter of the home.
A combination of a small building area and the Owner’s needs made for a very compact floor plan (3 floors). The centrally located stair ties each floor together in an efficient way.
